Help with your new medicines

If you’ve been prescribed new medicines which you haven’t taken before, you may be eligible for support from the NHS New Medicine Service.

The pharmacist will help you understand and get the most from your new medication.

How does the service work?

When you pick up your new medicines from the pharmacy, ask the pharmacist if you can use the NHS New Medicine Service.

The pharmacist will arrange for several appointments to discuss your medicines, and how you are getting on with them.

Appointments can take place from the privacy of the consultation room, or via telephone if more convenient.
